This project was developed to help out a local holiday club. Children would create some poetry. This was then recorded and loaded onto an SD memory card. This was then installed on a a Bare Conductive board. The mage to the right shows one of these boards being tested along with the "leaves" prior to being used at the holiday club. Touching one of the leaves triggers the poetry (sound file) which played back via a portable speaker. These were created by making sensors out of hardboard, EMI copper foil and white gaffer tape. Paper leaves were printed out and stuck on top. Sound tracks were recorded and loaded onto a "Bare Conductive" processor board that has an integrated micro-controller, MP3 and MIDI CODEC and Capacitive sensor. Touching a leaf would trigger a sound (read back some recorded poetry. These techniques have the advantage that no programming or coding are required. |
